Activist arrested in Leeds, UK

An unnamed 39-year-old man was detained in Leeds, England, on suspicion of conspiracy to blackmail. This case is thought to be linked to attacks against Novartis in 2009.
The Wall Street Journal reported that an unidentified male animal rights activist has been arrested in Leeds, UK on suspicion of conspiracy to commit blackmail. The paper notes this is the latest arrest in "an investigation into incidents of alleged animal rights extremism targeting companies across [Europe]."
Three others had been arrested in July 2012 in Holland and the UK, including SHAC member Debbie Vincent, for what is thought to be related activity.
