Woman charged over firearm incident in UK badger cull

Madeline Buckler has been charged with attempting to steal a firearm within the Gloucestershire badger cull area. She was arrested on October 11 following an incident in Newent on Wednesday. She has been bailed to appear before Cheltenham magistrates Court on November 20. 

Madeline Buckler was sentenced to two years in jail on 22 September 2006 for "intimidation of people connected with an animal research organization," due to her involvement in the 'Save the Newchurch Guinea Pigs' campaign.

Around 18 people have been arrested during the six-week cull in the Gloucestershire area, most being released without charge.
