Activists clash with police, Sao Roque Brazil


Animal-rights activists clashed with police in front of a laboratory in south-eastern Brazil that uses dogs for drug tests the day after dogs were stolen from the facility.

On Saturday 19 October activists clashed with police in front of the Instituto Royal laboratory in Sao Roque. Dogs had been stolen from this facility the previous night. The police reported that about 500 people tried to break through barriers in front of the facility. Rocks were thrown and a police car set alight.
