Italian researchers have rallied and organised flash mobs to argue for the benefits of their research, in response to recent animal rights events.
When animal rights activists broke into a Milan University animal facility they unwittingly catalysed a strong response by the Italian Research community. Pro Test Italia has been formed to co-ordinate the defense of scientific research in Italy and to provide an alternative media narrative to the ant-vivisection lobby.
Their initial acts were a demonstration in Milan and a flash mob in Rome.
Animal activists have responded with graffiti, some of which names Pro Test Italia organisers. Images can be seen in the second link.
